陶芸家の井口淳（いぐち じゅん）と申します。
瀬戸や京都で焼き物を学んだのち、岡山の備前で十年ほど修業をいたしました。
その後地元である浜松市に戻り作陶しております。
岡山で学んだ備前焼を中心に、釉薬を使った焼き物にも挑戦しています。
個展向けの作品に加え、食器や湯呑など日常使いのもの、植木鉢も制作しています。
薪窯にこだわり、窖窯と登り窯の二つの窯を使い年に3、4回焚いています。
登り窯のある天竜地区は林業が盛んで、窯焚きには天竜の木材も使用します。
その土地のものを循環させた作品づくりをこれからも続けていきたいと考えています。
My name is Jun Iguchi, a pottery.
After studying pottery in Seto and Kyoto, I trained for about ten years in Bizen, Okayama.
After that, I returned to my hometown, Hamamatsu City, and started making pottery.
I have been challenging myself to create glazed pottery, mainly Bizen ware, which I learned in Okayama.
In addition to pieces for solo exhibitions, I also produce tableware, teacups, and other daily-use items, as well as flowerpots.
I am particular about wood-fired kilns and uses two kilns, a cave kiln and a climbing kiln, firing three or four times a year. The Tenryu area, where the climbing kiln is located, has a thriving forestry industry, and wood from Tenryu is used to fire the kiln. I would like to continue to create works of art using local materials in a cyclical manner.
