作品紹介　備前面取珈琲碗

2/5(土)から開催する「春の器展」に出品する作品を紹介します。

こちらは、焼き締めの珈琲碗。
「桟切り」という備前焼らしい模様が出ております。作品が窯の中で灰に埋まり、火が直接当たらず燻されることでできる窯変です。会場でぜひ手に取ってみてください。

Bizen mugcup
The grayish areas are called "san-giri" and are caused by the ashes that are buried in the kiln and not directly exposed to the fire.
